The ever-growing list of webtoons making the jump to Korean television has a fresh addition: S Line, adapted from Kkomabi’s hit comic. Blending fantasy, mystery, and a candid look at privacy, the six-episode series is set to arrive on Wavve this summer.

A Premise That Redefines “TMI”

One morning, bright red threads materialise in the air, linking every pair of people who have ever slept together. Overnight, private lives become a public spectacle.

  • Detective Han Ji-wook (Lee Soo-hyuk) — charismatic and stubborn — launches an investigation into the phenomenon.

  • High-school teacher Gyu-jin (Lee Da-hee) and her student Shin Hyun-heup (Choi Ye-won, a.k.a. Oh My Girl’s Arin) have seen these lines since birth, and team up with Ji-wook to trace the origin of a mysterious pair of spectacles that may hold the key to the truth.

The concept promises equal parts social commentary and suspense, exploring how technology — or, in this case, supernatural technology — can erode the last remaining boundaries of personal privacy.

Release Schedule & Episode Plan

  • Premiere: Friday, July 11, 2025

  • Format: Two episodes drop every Friday, for three consecutive weeks

  • Finale: July 25, 2025 (Episodes 5 & 6)

Because S Line is an exclusive Wavve original, viewers will need an active subscription; the platform currently lists a monthly plan at US$15.99 and does not offer a free trial.

Actor Character Role Highlights
Lee Soo-hyuk Han Ji-wook Detective determined to unravel the “red line” mystery
Lee Da-hee Gyu-jin High-school teacher who can see the threads
Choi Ye-won (Arin) Shin Hyun-heup Student sharing Gyu-jin’s ability and curiosity

Early footage screened at the 8th Cannes International Series Festival drew applause for its provocative premise and stylish visuals, setting high expectations for the full run.

Why It Could Be 2025’s Dark-Horse Hit

  • Webtoon pedigree — a built-in readership hungry to see the red-thread gimmick in live action.

  • Compact length — six tightly written episodes promise a binge-friendly pace.

  • Topical themes — consent, surveillance, and shame culture resonate across age groups.

How to Watch

Download the Wavve app or visit wavve.com, sign up for the monthly plan, and new episodes will land in your queue every Friday starting July 11. If past Wavve dramas are any indication, an international licensing announcement may follow, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Bottom line: With its eye-catching visual hook and a cast skilled at balancing gravitas and genre thrills, S Line looks ready to turn a playful fantasy conceit into a sharp-edged conversation about digital age intimacy. Mark your calendars — those red lines appear in less than a month.
