At Flaunt Weekly, accuracy is the foundation of our credibility.
We are committed to ensuring every story we publish about entertainment, culture, and media is factually correct, transparently sourced, and responsibly presented.

When errors occur, we correct them promptly, clearly, and with full accountability — because trust with our readers is non-negotiable.

1. Our Commitment to Accuracy

  • Every article undergoes fact-checking and editorial review before publication, relying only on verified, on-the-record sources.

  • If any error — factual, typographical, or contextual — is identified, we act quickly to correct it.

  • Corrections are made regardless of who reports them — whether a reader, a publicist, a source, or through internal review.

2. How We Handle Corrections

a. Minor Errors (Non-Factual)

Examples: Typos, grammar issues, formatting inconsistencies.
Action: Corrected silently unless the issue affects meaning or context.

b. Factual Errors

Examples: Incorrect dates, names, figures, misattributed quotes, or factual statements.
Action:

  • The article is updated with accurate information.

  • A Correction Note is added at the bottom of the article, stating the date and nature of the correction.

  • The correction note remains permanently visible on the page.

c. Significant Changes or Retractions

Examples: Misreporting core facts, incorrect allegations, or material inaccuracies.
Action:

  • The story is corrected, substantially updated, or, when necessary, withdrawn.

  • A visible Editor’s Note is added at the top of the article explaining the reason for the correction or retraction.

  • If withdrawn, an archived version is retained internally for documentation and accountability.

3. Reader-Initiated Corrections

We actively encourage readers to help maintain our accuracy standards.

To report an error:

📧 Email: editor@flauntweekly.com (subject line: “Correction Request”)
🌐 Contact Form: Available on our Contact Us page.

Please include:

  • The headline and URL of the article.

  • A clear description of the inaccuracy.

  • Evidence or supporting sources for the correct information.

Our editors review all correction requests, and verified updates are published as quickly as possible.

4. Transparency in Corrections

  • Every factual correction is clearly labeled, timestamped, and visible to readers.

  • We never alter published content in a way that conceals mistakes or misleads the audience.

  • Correction notes specify what was changed and when, ensuring transparency in all updates.

5. Social Media Corrections

When an error appears on our official social media channels, Flaunt Weekly will:

  • Delete the inaccurate post where possible.

  • Publish a corrected version or follow-up post acknowledging the change when appropriate.

  • For significant corrections, link back to the corrected article on our website.

6. Continuous Improvement

  • All published corrections are reviewed by editorial leadership to detect recurring issues and improve workflows.

  • Staff receive ongoing training in verification, sourcing, and digital fact-checking practices.

  • Periodic internal audits help ensure our correction protocols evolve with best newsroom standards.

At Flaunt Weekly, we believe that acknowledging and correcting mistakes is a sign of integrity, not weakness.
Our readers deserve accurate, responsible journalism — and this policy guarantees that commitment across everything we publish.
